the surroundings at Stammershalle Badehotel
Stammershalle Badehotel is located on one of Bornholm’s most beautiful stretches between Gudhjem and Tejn. Exactly opposite the hotel you will find a large selection of cultural-historical memories, and you do not have to walk many steps before you are out in the magnificent Bornholm nature with the Sanctuary Rocks and Døndalevandfaldet within reasonable walking distance.

BY THE SEA
Finally, you must go on a trip to Denmark’s easternmost point, Ertholmene with Christians Ø and Frederiks Ø.
Here you can experience a fantastic bird life, and a magnificent nature with peace and time for contemplation. Christiansøfarten sails daily from Gudhjem to Christians Ø.
If you do not have the courage to fight the waves yourself, it is also possible to sail with Hammerhavnens Bådfart, which sails into the impressive rock caves at Hammerknuden.
M/S Thor sails a beautiful trip along the coast between Helligdomsklipperne and Gudhjem. There are sailings on both routes if the weather allows it, so it is a good idea to ask us at the reception if this could be of interest to you.
BY THE FOREST
The so-called Bornholm national plant, the Apennine anemone, grows in the forest.
This protected plant may have been brought home by some foreign travelers, many, many years ago. It is considered a variety of the southern European Anemone apennina and should therefore have its own variety name.
Troldeskoven is on the same side as the hotel. Here, a shipwreck has been found, which is today exposed, as well as the remains of a burial site from the Iron Age. Today, the 3 monumental stones are the only trace of the burial ground. There is also a dolmen in the easternmost part of Troldeskoven. Remains of a settlement from the Neolithic Age have been found here.
BY THE HOTEL
Opposite the hotel, a number of Bronze and Iron Age tombs have been found. Flint tools, pottery, bronze jewelery, etc. have been found in the graves.
If you want to explore the area by bike, it is possible to rent these from us at the reception. To the east is Bornholm’s Art Museum with changing exhibitions. Of course, there is also a permanent exhibition with many of our talented artists, both living and deceased. The local bus routes stop right outside the hotel. The route to the north runs towards Allinge and Hammershus Ruin.
If you are more into shopping, the bus runs east to both Gudhjem and Svaneke, both of which are very beautiful old towns that should be experienced.
With approx. 3.5 km from Stammershalle Badehotel is Rø Golf Club, which has 2 golf courses.
Old Course is a beautiful course with rocks and lake, and is a rather challenging experience even for the discerning golfer.
New Course is one of Denmark’s longest courses with a view of the Baltic Sea and Christians Ø.
