Graves from the Bronze and Iron Age have been found across from the hotel. In the graves were found tools made of flint, pottery, bronze jewellery etc.
If you want to explore the surroundings by bicycle it is possible to rent these in the reception.

The local buses stop right outside the hotel. The northern route is bound for Allinge and Hammershus Ruin. If you like shopping the eastern route is bound for Gudhjem and Svaneke, two very beautiful old towns that must be experienced.
Only about. 3.5 km from Stammershalle Badehotel is Rø Golf Club, which has 2 golf courses.
Old Course is a beautiful course with rocks and sea, and is a pretty challenging experience even for the discerning golfer. New Course is one of Denmark’s longest runways with view of the Baltic Sea and Christiansø.
At the Sea
Finally, do not rob yourself for a trip to Denmark’s easternmost point, Ertholmene with Christian Island and Frederik Island.
Here you can experience a fantastic bird life, and a wonderful nature with peace and time for reflection. Christiansøfarten sails daily from Gudhjem to Christian Island.
If you do not have the courage even to fight against the waves, it is also possible to sail with Hammer harbor boating, sailing into the spectacular caves at Hammerknuden.
M / S Thor is sailing a beautiful walk along the coast between Helligdomsklipperne and Gudhjem. We sail on both routes, weather permitting, so it’s a good idea to ask us at the front desk, if this could be interested.
At the Forrest
Apennina anemone is the so called national plant of Bornholm and can be found in the forest.
This protected plant may have been brought here by some foreign travellers, many, many years ago. It is considered a variety of the southern European Anemone apennina and therefore ought to have its own variety name.
Troldeskoven is situated on the same side as the hotel.
A so called stone ship has been found here and today it is exposed and visible. There are also the remains of an Iron Age cemetery, with 3 menhir (single stone monuments) as the only remains.
A passage grave and the remains of a Neolitic settlement have been found in the eastern part of Troldskoven.
